Lubbock surpassed Kee's expectations
If you build it, they will come. Possibly with low expectations though.
Year after year, one of the things we hear from recruits across sports and ways of life is Lubbock surpassed their wildest expectations.
The Hub City, especially around the university itself, reflects standard college towns across the country and has some major advantages. Texas Tech University's academics and the quality of freshmen classes are on the up and up, there are solid entertainment options within a short drive, and the city has a semi-major airport that makes it no more than two hops from virtually anywhere.
But word of mouth, and pictures of the haboobs, sometimes give the city a bad wrap. That's something coaches have to overcome in getting prospects to visit campus.
Tyler (Texas) Junior College offensive guard Frank Kee wasn't expecting much on his unofficial visit to Tech, but that changed in a hurry.
