Indiana OL wants offer from Eagles
Dan Samuelson has some time away from school and he's putting that time to good use. The Plymouth (Ind.) offensive guard is visiting as many schools as he can so his decision will be a little easier.
EagleAction.com caught up with the 6-foot-5, 290-pound lineman shortly after he left Michigan State on Tuesday.
He was in East Lansing to watch the Spartans practice and he had just visited the school for a junior day weeks before.
"I definitely liked it up there," Samuelson admitted. "I'm really liking the coaches and it's a very nice campus. I'm very impressed."
Prior to the trip to Michigan State, Samuelson's most recent visits were to Illinois and Purdue a few weeks back.
On Wednesday he plans on visiting Penn State and from there he will head out to Pitt on Saturday.
Illinois and Pitt are the BCS conference schools that have offered but a lot of others, including BC, have shown some interest. Samuelson is hoping his offer list continues to grow.
"I've talked to Coach (Jim) Bollman, the offensive line coach, from Boston College. He's told me they're very interested," Samuelson said.
"I haven't talked to him since I called him about a month and a half ago. It's a school I want to look at."
The Eagles haven't offered yet but if they do they could be in good shape.
"Oh, I'd be very interested. I'm interested in any school that's willing to offer me," Samuelson said.
What's he looking for in a college?
"I think it would have to be that feeling of being comfortable. I want to be part of a family," he responded.
Samuelson hopes to make his decision before the start of his senior season so he can focus on his last year of high school without distractions.
"I could probably give you a top five but it changes every week depending on what coaches say to me each day," he noted.
Rivals.com has rated Samuelson as a three-star prospect.
