Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton offensive tackle Casey Tucker committed to Southern Cal before the start of the last football season but the recruiting process is far from over for him.
Anyone who followed the Trojans' last recruiting class knows that it's not over until Signing Day.
Tucker, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle, told UDUBNation.com that he's still on board with Lane Kiffin's program but he doesn't want to close off his other options. In other words the nation's No. 9 offensive tackle remains a viable target for Washington and some of the Pac-12's other programs.
"The only school I've really been out to lately is ASU," Tucker said. "It's right down the road and it's easy to visit.
"I'm definitely verbally committed to USC but I like ASU and I like a lot of Pac-12 schools like Washington, UCLA and U of A. I'm committed but I'm still looking around and making sure I'm making the right decision since it's going to affect me for the rest of my life. I'm looking at every school I possibly can."
Tucker may not be looking at Washington any more closely than others, but Steve Sarkisian and his staff are standing out in at least one respect: How much interest they are showing in the Rivals100 lineman.
"I've talked to the head coach [Sarkisian] a little bit. I've talked to coach [Tosh] Lupoi, coach [Peter] Sirman and a few others. I remember there being a lot of coaches that have talked to me. More from Washington than others.
"They seem like pretty good guys for sure. Nothing negative at all about them."
Tucker still needs to learn more about the Huskies. He plans to do just that.
"I haven't made it out to Washington yet but it's definitely a school I'm taking into consideration," he said.
