Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller offensive tackle Alex Gall has been no stranger to Ohio State over the last several months. Gall camped with the Buckeyes in June, bringing him the OL MVP award, and on Saturday night he made his second unofficial visit to Columbus during the season. Though Gall was in the minority, the 6-foot-4, 295-pound prospect never wavered on his stance that Ohio State would get the win.

"That was a wild game," said Gall. "The atmosphere at that game was crazy. Leading up to the game, everyone that I talked to said that Wisconsin was going to beat Ohio State bad and I just thought, 'you know what, I think Ohio State has a chance to win this game and I think they can pull this out'. At the end of the day, they're that kind of team that when everybody thinks they're going to lose, they pull it out."

Gall said the atmosphere at Ohio Stadium was on a completely different level than what he had witnessed earlier in the season on his first trip to 'The Shoe'.

"The atmosphere of that game was insane," he said. "I went to a game earlier in the year (against Akron) and there were no students. I didn't realize that the students made that much of a difference. The students at that game made the game that much more insane. The fans brought so much more to that game than the first game that I went to. That was wild; you could hardly hear yourself think."

Gall is hearing from many of the top programs in the Midwest right now, but is still waiting on his first verbal offer.

"There's nothing new really (with recruiting)," he said. "I've just been keeping up with the schools that have talked to me. I don't have any offers yet but I think I'm getting close. At this point, I think the coaches are just trying to figure out who I am and build a relationship and find out what I'm all about."

Playing on one of Ohio's top high school teams, Gall isn't sure how many more unofficial visits he will make this season with the playoffs starting this weekend.

"We have playoff games on Saturday," he explained. "We'll play on Saturday's from here on out so depending on how far we go, that will determine where I'll visit. I know a couple of schools are trying to get me to come up to visit so it's just kind of hard with my game schedule and trying to get my parents to go with me up to these places."

Moeller enters the playoffs as one of the favorites to bring home the Division I title. The Crusaders play in the always brutal Region 4 and Gall just wants to see his team iron out a few details before they hit the field on Saturday.

"We have a few hiccups in our team and we need to fix those," he said. "A couple of injuries have hurt us so we need to get those players back on the field and figure out who we are as a team and just take that and run with it."

Gall is the No. 26 ranked player in the BuckeyeGrove.com class of 2013 Ohio rankings.
