Dawgs get 2014 commit
In what is turning out to be quite an exciting Wednesday, Georgia has landed its second commitment of the day and their third for the 2014 class as St. Pius (Atlanta) safety Nick Glass has committed to the Bulldogs.
He confirmed his commitment in a text to UGASports.
Glass received a Georgia offer in a visit to Athens on March 24, and decided to made the decision to join Georgia's 2014 class on a visit to the Classic City on Wednesday.
The Peach State safety committed to Georgia over 17 other offers from schools in BCS conferences, and gives the Bulldogs their first defensive commitment in the 2014 class.
As a sophomore member of a St. Pius secondary that had 2012 Alabama signee Geno Smith, and 2014 FBS prospect Nick Ruffin, Glass had 75 tackles, four interceptions, and five sacks.
The 2014 standout told UGASports at the Georgia Rivals/VTO Elite 100 camp, the day after the Bulldogs offered, that he grew up a UGA fan, and that the offer was "a big offer."
Glass is Georgia's first defensive commitment for the class of 2014, and their third overall.
