Sooners Set to Host Big 10 Target

Since his arrival in Norman there has been little patience by Bill Bedenbaugh in getting offers out to offensive lineman around the country - many of whom weren't involved with Oklahoma previously. While there was much excitement over the new offers, the question that many had was whether or not the prospects he had previous relationships with - many of whom from areas far outside of the Sooners normal recruiting realm - would be willing to travel to Norman, Okla.

On Tuesday Oklahoma gets that answer as one of Bedenbaugh's most recent offers, Alex Dalton, will make the trip from Troy, Ohio to check out the Sooners spring practice.

According to the 6-foot-4, 280-pound interior lineman the Sooners are eyeing him as a guard or center and he is eyeing them as a real possibility - thanks to Bedenbaugh.

"I was talking to him at West Virginia, he offered me there. I had been over to the camp the summer before my junior season. Then I went to a game in the fall and then all of the sudden he moves down to Oklahoma. It was about a week in between the switch before he told me he got the job," Dalton explained.
