Scouting Report: Safety Quentin Tartabull

Cal received its second verbal commitment at a need position when (soon to be) safety Quentin Tartabull of Bishop Alemany in Mission Hills gave his commitment to the staff after receiving an offer on Sunday.

The scholarship offer was earned after Tartabull participated in Cal's contact camp, giving the staff an opportunity to see how he moved in person. Quentin is Cal's third verbal commitment on the defensive side of the ball, joining defensive end Isadore Outing and fellow safety Koa Farmer.

Currently playing linebacker for the Warriors, Tartabull was named a First Team All-Serra League defender both his sophomore and junior seasons. He was also named as an All-CIF Southern Section performer for the Pac-5 League after the 2012 season, racking up 125 tackles, six sacks, four pass breakups, and one interception returned for a touchdown. Measuring in at 6', 190 pounds, Tartabull submitted an eye-opening athletic display at the Los Angles NFTC back in March when he scored a SPARQ rating of 110.91, which included a 39-inch vertical jump.

Below, we'll review Quentin's 2012 highlight clips to better determine just the kind of player Cal is getting with his commitment...
