Video: Gholston has all the tools

2010 Defensive End William Gholston of Detroit Southeastern High School has a great chance of being the #1 prospect in Michigan for the class of 2010 and a 5-star prospect. Spartan Head Coach Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State staff are making Gholston a top priority for the class.

Gholston has been to East Lansing several times over the past year to check out Michigan State and he attended a session of the Spartan summer camp as well. He is being recruited jointly his Primary Recruiting Coach Dan Enos and Defensive Line Coach Ted Gill.

SpartanMag.com has observed thousands of prospects over the years at various camp and Gholston fall into that rare category of player that has all the physical tools to be an impact player at the next level.

Other prospects that fit that same mold are players like Kellen Freeman Davis and T.J Duckett of Michigan State, Stanley McGlover of Auburn, Lawrence Wilson of Ohio State and Lamar Woodley of Michigan. All of the above players looked like men amongst boys when they were at the same age as Gholston.

Gholston is one of only a few select prospects in the nation that already has multiple offers from Big Ten programs like Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. That offer list alone likely puts him solidly in the realm of top 100 prospects for next year.

SpartanMag.com attended the Detroit Southeastern against Dearborn Fordson game held last weekend and has video of Gholston in action. The regional final match-up was a tough battle that was eventually one by the Tractors by a score of 29-18. The PSL Champs finished the season 10-2.
