Sewell keeping a busy schedule
While summer vacation is historically a time for rest and relaxation for most high school students, high school football players know that it is prime time to show off the skills they have. And 6' 2", 205 lb Bothel (Wash.) Bothel WR Trent Sewell is no exception. In fact, he just completed a school camp swing to rival anyone - 6 camps in 10 days.
Sewell's trip included stops at Boise State, Colorado, Utah, Cal, Oregon, and Oregon State. We caught up with him after his 6th camp in Corvallis to hear how things are going.
"The camp (at OSU) was real good," said Sewell. "I did a little workout with Coach Langsdorf and Coach Riley."
Sewell prides himself on several aspects of his game, some of which he said stood out to the Oregon State coaches.
"They liked how powerful I was, how natural my hands are, and how coachable I was."
While the Beaver camp went well, he is still waiting on an offer from Oregon State.
"They told me they are only going to take one or two receivers in this class," said Sewell. "And they already have one committed."
Sewell is currently holding steady in the offer count at two, with UCLA and Washington State having offered.
And after a very busy ten days, where does Sewell go from here? Back to work of course.
"My team football camp is starting tomorrow and lasts for a few days," said Sewell.
He knows there is no rest for the weary when full ride scholarship offers are there waiting to be had.
