Weekend Visitor Preview: Two big visitors

It's the calm before the storm. One weekend from now, several of the nation's top prospects will file in to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for an electric showdown with rival Florida State. But first, Furman comes to town, and while a Football Championship Subdivision team might not be a marquee opponent, there are a few visitors that will jump off the page this weekend. This weekends lineup will feature:

1 player in the Rivals100 1 four-star prospect 1 JUCO50 prospect

While it may not stack up to some big weekends in quantity, it will feature a solid amount of quality for a late-season non-conference game and include one official visitor.


Josh Harvey-Clemons, a 6-foot-5, 208-pound Rivals100 outside linebacker from Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes, will be inside The Swamp on Saturday. He is one of the more important gets remaining on the Gators' board.

With the number of prospects being on the lighter side, this will be a chance for the Gators to really concentrate on showing him how much they need him in this class.

Four-star Florida wide receiver commit Latroy Pittman will continue his streak of attending every UF home game and will be in attendance on Saturday.

UF kicker commit Austin Hardin, a two-star prospect from Atlanta Marist, will once again be on campus to watch the Gators.


One of Florida's top-four running back prospects for 2013 will be in Gainesville Saturday. Adam Lane, the 5-foot-7, 207-pound back from Winter Haven (Fla.), will be on hand for the Furman game.

The Skinny: One of Florida's numerous JUCO interests at the moment, Jacobs will be in town primarily to inspect competition along the defensive line. He has said that immediate playing time will be the biggest factor in his decision. Although he is currently a Tennessee commit, Jacobs is taking visits and has said he is open to see if there are any schools out there that can sway him.
