Dan Coleman Makes Decision

GopherHole.com has learned that today, while on a visit to the Boston College campus with his parents, 6'8" forward Dan Coleman of Hopkins High School gave the Eagles a verbal commitment. BC offered Dan a scholarship back in April when they made an in-home visit. The school has been at the top of his list since then, but he wanted to see the campus before making a final decision. Obviously, he liked what he saw.
Other schools Dan was considering included Illinois, Marquette, Minnesota, Purdue, UNLV, and Wisconsin.

Boston College recruited Coleman primarily as a power forward (although, with his shooting touch, I would expect him to see some time at the 'three' as well), which means they will still have room for 6'7" St. Thomas Academy small forward Dan Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald, Coleman's summer teammate with the Howard Pulley Panthers, has recently pushed back his visit to Boston until August, but chances are still very high that he'll also wind up an Eagle.
GopherHole.com plans on speaking with Dan Coleman about his decision upon his return to Minnesota. When we do, (as usual) you'll be the first to know.
Talk about Dan's decision on the Gopher Basketball message board and/or the Premium message board.
