Minnesota offered Crete-Monee (Ill.) athlete Juawan Treadwell, the younger brother of the Vikings' first round pick, Laquon Treadwell.

Juawan holds offers from Illinois and a handful of MAC programs. At 6'0" and 160 pounds, he's smaller than the elder Treadwell, who was 6'3" and 198 pounds in high school. Juawan is mostly being recruited as a defensive back, whereas Laquon was always considered a wide receiver.

Laquon was Rivals.com's No. 1 wide receiver and No.5 player overall in the class of 2013 and picked Ole Miss over offers from dozens of schools, including Minnesota.

Juawan told Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press that Illinois was his likely destination, but that was before Minnesota offered.
