The Minnesota Golden Gophers are the newest program to offer 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive tackle Jeremiah Benson. The West Bloomfield, Michigan, native recently decommitted from Northern Illinois.
Benson originally committed to the Huskies in late February but reopened his recruitment over the weekend.
With his offer, the Golden Gophers have also quickly scheduled an official visit with the defensive tackle prospect, he tells Greg Smith of Rivals.
