Wide receiver Dylan Wright is no longer with the Minnesota football program, PJ Fleck announced on Tuesday during his press conference.
Wright leaves the program after two seasons with the university after transferring into the program from Texas A&M following the 2020 season.
The 6-foot-4 , 210-pound wide receiver had 35 receptions for 645 yards and three touchdowns over his two years with the program. He's also the second wide receiver to leave the program over the last few weeks, joining Michael Brown-Stephens.
Luckily for the Gophers' offense, the coaching staff made the position a priority this offseason in the transfer portal, bringing in a pair of pass catchers in Corey Crooms and Elijah Spencer, both are expected to have considerable roles in the offense this fall.
