Sophomore center Treyton Thompson was the second Minnesota Golden Gopher player to announce that he was entering his name in the transfer portal on Monday.
Thompson joins freshman guard Jaden Henley in the portal.
During his two seasons with the Gophers, Thompson appeared 39 games while earning nine starts. He averaged two points and 1.8 rebounds per game during his career.
Coming out of La Lumeire (Ind.), Thompson was rated a three-star prospect in the 2021 class and signed with the Gophers over the likes of Iowa, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech.
