Spann-Ford is coming a great season for the Gophers in which he totaled 42 receptions for 497 yards and a pair of touchdowns. earning All-Big Ten honorable mention honors. The Saint Cloud (MN) native is widely considered the best returning tight end in the Big Ten but also one of the best in the country; he'll also likely be among the top tight ends available in next April's NFL Draft.

Nubin, on the other hand, will be one of the top defensive backs in next year's NFL Draft and is expected to be a leader of the Gophers' defense this season. Nubin was an All-Big Ten second-team selection last year after posting 55 tackles, two tackles for a loss, four interceptions, and three pass breakups. He'll be looking to surpass the 200 total tackles (currently at 154) and 10 interceptions (currently at 8) marks for his career.
