St. Cloud Tech tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford committed to Minnesota tonight. The three-star impressed at the Gophers’ first camp of the summer with his hands and receiving ability.

“It’s nuts right now,” he texted TGR tonight.

Spann-Ford is already very familiar with the Gophers -- he grew up following his home state team and attended two junior days and a spring practice.

He picked Minnesota over offers from Iowa State, Missouri, West Virginia, and more.

Spann-Ford is also an excellent basketball player. He’s the No. 8 player in Minnesota on Northstar Hoops Report and is playing this AAU season with MN Comets on the NY2LA circuit.
