Kesich, Nubin earn All-Big Ten honors
Both Dragan Kesich and Tyler Nubin have earned All-Big Ten honors for their performances this past weekend in Minnesota's 12-10 win over Iowa.
Kesich in the game made four of five field goal attempts, including two attempts from 40+ yards. He became the Gophers first place kicker since Emmit Carpenter in 2016 to make four field goals in a game. Kesich's four field goals made up the entirety of the Golden Gophers scoring in the win.
Nubin had one of his best games of the season especially against the run with four tackles and one sack. He also recorded one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup for the Gophers.
This marks the second time that Kesich and Nubin have been earned All-Big Ten honors. Both previously had done so for their performances in the Gophers' 13-10 win over Nebraska in week one.
Minnesota vs Illinois kickoff time announced
The Golden Gophers, November 4 home matchup against the Illinois Fighting Illini has received a 2:30 p.m. CT with the game televised on the Big Ten Network. It will be the Golden Gophers fourth game this season that kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CT, they also have had four evening kicks and one 11:00 a.m. CT kickoff (Louisiana).
Illinois is 3-5 this season including 1-4 in conference play. The Golden Gophers will look to avenge a 26-14 loss last season in Champaign.
