Minnesota loses commitment from three-star WR Corey Smith

Three-star wide receiver Corey Smith announced on Saturday afternoon that he has decommitted from Minnesota and will reopen his recruitment.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver had previously been committed to the Gophers since March 22.

Smith also holds notable offers from Illinois and West Virginia as well as about a dozen Group of Five offers. The Gophers now hold 22 commitments in their 2024 recruiting class including a pair of wide receivers in Jalen Smith and Dallas Sims.

As a senior for Brownsburg, Smith recorded 29 receptions for 694 yards and seven touchdowns.
